New reports confirm that there is unrest in the Bwari town of Abuja.
According to eyewitnesses, trouble started when the sarkin Hausa embarked on his traditional Muslim salah parade with his entourage which included horses, retinue of armed soldiers and police with hundreds of Hausa/Fulani youths chanting war songs and brandishing cutlasses and sticks.
Things, however, took a different turn when the irate youths tried to force their way to the Etsu’s palace the traditional home of the indigenous Gwari people.
This got Gwari youths angered prompting them to mobilise themselves to stop the Hausa Fulani youths from forcing their way to the palace resulting in major trouble within the town.
