Trouble erupted in Port harcourt, Rivers State, today after a driver was beaten into a coma by some bribe-seeking policemen.
Report have it that the driver was stopped by the officers, along the Choba/Ozuoba road, Port Harcourt in a bid to extort some money from him.
The driver tried to reverse but the policemen stopped him and began to drag his steering wheel with him. When they got the car to a halt, he was dragged out and beaten till he lost consciousness. .
Some bystanders who were there blasted the officers for the act and even abdoning the victim, and instead of helping the driver the policemen went about threatening to beat up anyone who confronted them at the scene.
